A Thought or Two

Many many thoughts floating around in my head tonight (okay, not that many, minus one many). I spoke to a good friend, whom I have not spoken to other than via e-mail in almost a year, over the telephone, earlier tonight. I have not decided how personal I want to get on this blog and I know I want to steer clear of politics, so I will just say he is unable to legally enter the country, for at least another few months, for absurd reasons which devastate me, but point is, we came to an agreement, he will not join the Marine Corps as long as I not smoke another cigarette again. Done. I cannot even begin to comprehend why someone with such high potential would consider such a thing? There is absolutely no way I would let someone as fantastic and charismatic as him, dissolve into some poor ill-tempered and tortured spirit. No way. But again, point is, as of today I will stop casually smoking, and I know my actions alone will not change my friend's mind, but it is a start, and I plan to do some serious advising.
